Why Our Electric Lamborghini Countach Render Will Convince You to Ditch the Legendary V12

Our exclusive electric Lamborghini Countach render imagines over 2000 hp to promise that you wont miss the screaming V12 in the future

Lamborghini is a 60-year-old carmaker, but there have been just three generations of its iconic V12 engines. This will be enough to give you an idea of the importance the V12 has in Lamborghini’s history. So when the third-gen V12 was unorthodoxly fiddled with in the all-new Lamborghini Revuelto, fans were not particularly happy. But the hybrid V12 was eventually embraced for giving us the most powerful Lamborghini ever made.

But now, HotCars digital artist Timothy Adry Emmanuel takes the huge risk of parting ways with the iconic V12 and embracing pure electric power. But the result, the HotCars Exclusive electric Countach Concept, bears fruit and imagines the most powerful Lambo EV, way more powerful than the 1,001-HP Revuelto.

This 2,200-HP Electric Countach Previews The Most Powerful Lamborghini Ever

When rumors of the first-ever hybrid supercar from Lamborghini were floating around, many took this news with disdain, especially hardcore Lamborghini fans. This was because the iconic Lamborghini V12 was going to be ‘adulterated’ with electric power. But today, Lambo’s first series production hybrid supercar is sending shockwaves across the performance car world, and people (including Lambo fans) have embraced the bold V12 hybrid with grinning faces.

Until the 1,001-HP Revuelto came about, the most powerful Lamborghini was the track-only Essenza SCV12. The Revuelto wasn’t actually the first electrified Lambo. That tag goes to the highly exclusive Sian mild-hybrid. But it is with the Revuleto plug-in hybrid that Lamborghini shows each of its fans that it is cool to fiddle with the iconic V12. And now, we are going to show them that swapping the V12 out for battery packs is not blasphemous.

We are taking it to yet another level with an all-electric powertrain, something that Lamborghini has not fully explored. Our Exclusive Countach Electric Concept packs a four-motor layout (one for each wheel) to churn out a combined whopping 2,200 hp. The torque figures are also insane with this electric Lamborghini at 1,900 lb-ft, which also enables it to do a mind-boggling 0-60 in under 1.5 seconds. The clever use of AWD and specially developed Pirelli tires take care of half the equation here.

The design is taken right off the rejuvenated Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4. But everything underneath, including the chassis and suspension setup, is made from scratch. Our electric Lamborghini’s underpinnings are heavily inspired by that of the futuristic Lamborghini Terzo Millennio. Our Countach EV Concept packs in a huge floor-mounted battery pack and gets F1-derived suspension and steering construction. This greatly complemented the Godly performance it packs. Using clever torque vectoring technology makes this electric Lamborghini concept tamable even when hooned around the racetrack.

Our All-Electric Lamborghini Combines 80s Styling & Future Technology

We have utilized the revived 2022 Lamborghini Countach design as the base for our imagination of the first-ever all-electric Lamborghini supercar. We have had our fair share of disagreements with how Lamborghini’s revival of the Countach looked. But now, let’s say that we have made peace with it! The original Countach was a lot smaller and needed quite a bit of ‘rendering’ to convert it into a modern all-electric hypercar killer. In that quest, the outcome would have been a ‘supercar’ for which Lamborghini fans would hunt us down. Nope, we didn’t want Emmanuel to take that risk.

We have elevated the design of the 2022 Countach to be more electrifying and aerodynamic. The hints of blue on the aggressive new front and rear fascia are to remind us of the all-electric powertrain it packs. If, by any chance, you miss out on those blue bits, the side profile gets a chunky dose on the doors and a subtle sprinkle on those gorgeous wheels. Our Lamborghini electric supercar sits a tad bit lower and wider than the donor car as well. This, along with the Revuelto-inspired upgraded aerodynamic bits, help this 2,200-HP Lambo not to take flight.

The huge front intake on the redesigned bumper takes care of blowing in the air to help cool down the motors and battery pack. The retractable rear spoiler has also been redesigned to be meatier; the added downforce really does wonders. The wildest aero bits, though, are the rear split-design splitters. The absence of an exhaust system allowed us to dial things up to 11 with the rear aerodynamic setup. The rear splitter setup helps greatly in reducing turbulence during high-speed runs.

This Electric Lambo Can Smoke The World’s Fastest Electric Supercar

Electric cars have opened up a new rule book when it comes to acceleration and speed records. The Rimac Nevera recently smashed a whopping 23 performance records in one day! Some of the records that this Air-Bending Croatian monster achieved include a 0-60 time of 1.74 seconds, a quarter mile in 8.25 seconds, breaching the 200 mph mark in under 11 seconds, and numerous braking records as well.

Apart from this, the Nevera also broke the record for the fastest electric car, with a top speed of 258 mph. All these insane records were set by a 1,914-HP hypercar made by a company that is just 14 years old. Now, our 2,200-HP all-electric Lamborghini ‘supercar’ can theoretically do 0-60 in under 1.5 seconds and hit a top speed of over 270 mph. So on paper, this Lamborghini electric car has already defeated the Rimac Nevera.

A worthy competition to our electric Lambo’s acceleration numbers is the ever-so-anticipated Tesla Roadster which is expected to do 0-60 in an unreal 1.1 seconds with the optional SpaceX option. In terms of horsepower, the closest contender to our imagined Lamborghini Countach EV is the upcoming Lotus Evija. It packs close to 2000 hp, but Lotus is not, so keep in the acceleration game as the Evija is expected to do 0-60 in under 3 seconds and have a top speed of 218 mph. We believe that Lotus is aiming to score high in the hypercar driving range game, something that no other electric supercar has diligently focused on.

When Will The First Electric Lamborghini Launch?

The first-ever series-production Lamborghini electric car is set to break cover towards the end of this decade. But as anticipated earlier, the first electric Lambo is not going to be an SUV, nor will it be an off-road-ready supercar like the new Huracan Sterrato. It has been hinted that the first-ever Lamborghini EV will most likely be a 2+2 Grand Tourer.

Our friends at Motor1 recently got to chat with Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann at the 2024 Revuelto launch event. To help achieve its goal of cutting down carbon emissions by 80 percent, Lamborghini is set to introduce a more conservative body style to its line-up. Winkelmann gave more insight on this, stating,

It’s going to be a new body style because what is missing in the lineup today is a GT 2+2, and I think this would be a good add-on to the two super-sports cars and the SUV.

This indicates that the first-ever Lamborghini electric car be an evolved version of the 2015 Asterion Concept with sprinkles of design inspirations from the iconic likes of the Espada and Islero classic Lamborghini cars. Powering the first electric Lamborghini can be an evolved version of the axial-flux electric motors that are currently used in the Revuelto.

Upon launch, the supposedly 2+2 GT Lamborghini EV will lock horns with the equally-anticipated all-electric Porsche 911. Now, because both Porsche and Lamborghini come under the same umbrella Corp, there are high chances of these cars sharing quite a few components.
