uring Jimmy Fallon’s tenure as the host of The Tonight Show, the comedian and actor has appeared in many memorable segments. Fallon has also gotten several celebrities to reveal things they typically hold close to their chests.
Once when Fallon appeared alongside Scarlett Johansson, the actor who has dealt with situations like her film being booed seemed unsure. The reason for that is what Pete ʙuттigieg said as he appeared with Fallon and Johansson about something he once ate.
How Did Pete ʙuттigieg Freak Out Scarlett Johansson?
In October 2019, Jimmy Fallon welcomed Scarlett Johansson and Pete ʙuттigieg on The Tonight Show. As their episode went on, Fallon, Johansson, and ʙuттigieg appeared together in a popular ongoing segment тιтled True Confessions.

When the segment began, Johansson claimed that she once got stung in the face by a jellyfish. After Fallon and ʙuттigieg asked her a series of questions about the event, they believed her and Johansson revealed that was a real event in her life.
From there, Fallon took center stage as he claimed that he once gave Jerry Seinfeld the Heimlich maneuver at a wine tasting. Ultimately, Fallon wasn’t able to convince anyone before he revealed the story was made up.
Once ʙuттigieg finally took his turn, he made a claim about a meal he once had that took the audience aback.
“On the campaign trail, I once ate an ice cream sundae made entirely out of pork.”
The moment that ʙuттigieg made that claim, Johansson seemed shocked and unsure if she should trust the politician. From there, she asked ʙuттigieg how much of the sundae he ate which resulted in him claiming he ate half of it. In response to that claim, Johansson initially seemed convinced that ʙuттigieg was lying.

At that point, ʙuттigieg was asked to describe the pork ice cream sundae.
“You know those Dairy Queen parfaits that they make? Instead of the fudge, it was barbeque sauce. And instead of the ice cream, it was mashed potatoes. And then, instead of the peanuts, pork.”

Evidently, ʙuттigieg’s description caught Johansson’s fancy as she remarked that the pork sundae now sounded good. That said, it is surprising that neither Johansson nor Fallon brought up the fact that the sundae wasn’t as ʙuттigieg first described it. Instead of being entirely pork, the sundae now seems to have been more mashed potatoes than anything else.
No matter what the reason, Johansson began to question ʙuттigieg’s story again. This time she questioned it because ʙuттigieg claimed he drank root beer with the sundae even though that isn’t his favorite drink.
At one point during the conversation, ʙuттigieg explained he consumed the pork sundae because politicians eat regional foods during campaigns. When it was decision time, Fallon argued that he believed ʙuттigieg because politicians do that kind of thing.
After a lot of back and forth, it became time for Johansson and Fallon to lock in their guesses whether ʙuттigieg was telling the truth. Ultimately, Johansson and Fallon believed the story and ʙuттigieg confirmed he really had eaten the fair food.
