“Carpool Karaoke,” an Apple Music feature, featuring Phoenix Suns player Kevin Durant and rapper Travis Scott. Of course, the two sang covers of some of Scott’s tunes, but they also took some musical risks.
In an episode teaser, Scott is seen riding shotgun while Durant takes the wheel. Scott and the artist trade verses on the song “Sicko Mode” from his most recent album, Astroworld. They also rap Kendrick Lamar’s verse from Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016) on Scott’s song “Goosebumps.”

The Houston rapper demonstrated his diverse musical tastes by sharing a story with Durant about his early involvement in a musical. Along with repeating a few lines from “Too Darn Hot,” he adds, “It’s like one of my favorite songs from a play called Kiss Me, Kate.” They also cover Rick James’ “Super Freak” as another tune.
