The NBA Finals game that Stephen Curry is most proud of has been revealed

Stephen Curry has firmly established himself as one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA. Like all of the very greats of the game, Curry has had his fair share of incredible performances on the biggest stage of the sport, the NBA Finals.

The 35-year-old has been to six of them in his incredible career and has been on the winning side on four occasions. When asked to pick the performance he is most proud of among those four title-winning series, Curry went with one against the Boston Celtics in 2022.

“Definitely Game 4 of the 2022 Finals,” Curry said on Wired. “That was a hostile environment and we’re down 2-1, we need to win that to give ourselves some life and had one of my best games of my career considering the magnitude of that moment for sure.”

That Game 4 performance was truly a special one. With the Golden State Warriors facing the prospect of going down 3-1, Curry finished with 43 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists to lead them to a 107-97 win.

The Warriors would come out on top in the next two games as well to win the series in six as Curry got his hands on his fourth title. He also won Finals MVP for the first time to get the proverbial monkey off his back.

It also somewhat helped brush aside the notion that Curry shrinks in the NBA Finals. He has played in 34 Finals games in his career and put up 27.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game.

Stephen Curry Spoke On His Unanimous MVP Season
When talking about the highs of Curry’s 14-year NBA career, his magical 2015-16 campaign always comes to mind. He averaged 30.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 2.1 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game to become the first-ever unanimous MVP in NBA history.

When talking about it during this interview, Curry stated it was an “unreal” year. He called winning the award unanimously a very special moment and to this day, he remains the only one to do so. It is one of the greatest accomplishments in NBA history and the chances of anyone joining him on that list in the near future seem rather bleak.
