She is known for having a colorful personal life when it comes to her relationships.
And hopefully Scarlett Johansson’s decision to take off her engagement ring yesterday didn’t have any bearing on her relationship with beau French journalist Romain Dauriac.
Thankfully the actress was seen back with the ring on Tuesday as she attended the premiere of new movie Don Jon at the Toronto Film Festival.
Looking stunning in a sexy black dress, Scarlett seemed more than happy to flash her rock at the event, alongside her co-star Joseph Gordon Levitt, 32.
It’s not hard to believe that Joseph – who wrote and directed the film as well as starring in it – was enamored by the star’s sex appeal.
‘Look, Scarlett is a gorgeous, gorgeous woman, but if you just compare purely physical features, plenty of girls are just as gorgeous,’ he told Men’s Health.
‘But she creates this extra something. It’s in her walk, her eye contact. The total package is just off the charts.’
However, just a day before, Scarlett was seen wearing a less flattering purple outfit – and no engagement ring.
The busy star was promoting her other film Under The Skin, which has been savaged by critics.
So perhaps Scarlett was trying a new approach for the comedy Don Jon, as she went for something far more sexy, and had decided to put her engagement ring back on.
As well as juggling various acting roles, Scarlett has also told Marie Claire that she plans to adapt and direct Truman Capote’s Summer Crossing next year.
The 28-year-old screen beauty and French journalist Romain announced last week that they are set to marry.
She told Entertainment Tonight Canada: ‘My friend was like, ‘Congrats on timing’ … things work out the way they do, maybe it’s better just to get it out the way.’
The Avengers star was first linked to Romain, 30, in November 2012 and the couple announced their engagement after a whirlwind 10-month relationship.
Scarlett’s spokesperson said: ‘I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged. They haven’t chosen a date for the wedding.’
Speculation about the actress’ engagement began swirling last week after she was spotted wearing a large diamond ring at the Venice International Film Festival.
The couple also sparked wedding talk in July when Scarlett was seen sporting a glamorous gold ring with a diamond and ruby, however, friends of the star dismissed it as “simply a piece of jewellery”.
The actress was previously married to Green Lantern hunk Ryan Reynolds for two years, but the couple separated in 2010 and finalised their divorce in July 2011.
Ryan has since married Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively.
