Leading the panel will be Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu, who will oversee the selection of prizes, including the prestigious Palme D’Or award. Pawel Pawlikowski, the Polish filmmaker and screenwriter who won best director at Cannes last year for his film Cold War, will also be on the jury. Additionally, Maimouna N’Diaye, a director of documentaries and actress in films like Chasing Butterflies, will join two other female directors on the panel.

Alicia Rohrwacher from Italy, on the other hand, triumphed in Cannes last year by winning the best screenplay for her film Happy as Lazzaro, a satirical tale centered around a peasant family. Additionally, French filmmaker Robin Campillo, known for his critically acclaimed movie 120 BPM – Beats Per Minute, which won the Grand Prix at Cannes for its portrayal of an AIDS activist, will complete the remarkable line-up of directors.
