The hugely anticipated film Avengers: Endgame is set to swoop into theaters on April 26.
And weeks before the movie premieres on the big screen, the film’s stars made a visit to Disney’s California Adventure Park on Friday as they launched a charity event called Avengers Universe Unites.
Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner and Paul Rudd were on hand at the Disneyland Resort to celebrate the donation of more than $5 million to children’s hospitals.
Avengers Universe Unites is a charity event that supports Disney Team of Heroes – The Walt Disney Company’s signature philanthropic commitment that delivers both inspiration and comfort to seriously ill kids globally, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
The event brought the film’s stars to Disney California Adventure to celebrate the donation of $5 million to nonprofits.
The donation goes to causes that support critically ill children and also includes $1 million in cash to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, according to Disney Parks Blog.
Amazon, Funko, Hasbro and The LEGO Group donated the remaining $4 million in Avengers: Endgame toys; they were sent to children’s hospitals in the United States and the Give Kids the World nonprofit resort in central Florida.
Robert A. Iger, chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, said in a statement to Disney Parks Blog: ‘The superheroes in Avengers personify traits like courage, perseverance, bravery and hope – the same traits countless kids and their families in children’s hospitals exhibit every day.’
He continued: ‘We are grateful to have the Avengers cast take time out of their day to be a part of this effort to lifts spirits and bring comfort to children during a difficult time.’
During the celebration, Scarlett – who plays Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff – in the Avengers franchise – looked beautiful in a red elbow-length blouse with a coordinating crimson and white floral skirt.
Brie, who plays Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers also rocked a red top – the Merlette Monceau Top – but paired it with denim bottoms.
She clearly took inspiration from her surroundings for her ensemble, completing her look with a pair of Disney x Vans sneakers.
Chris, who plays Thor in the Marvel Universe films, cut a casual figure in a cream T-shirt with a black jacket and dark wash denim bottoms.
Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man/Tony Stark), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton) and Paul Rudd (Ant Man/Scott Lang) were also on hand.
Their film Avengers: Endgame will arrived in theaters on April 26, 2019.
