Following mixed reviews for previous DC Extended Universe (DCEU) films, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara has expressed his confidence in the franchise, citing the combined $1.6 billion made by Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. Tsujihara also praised Geoff Johns and Jon Berg, who now oversee Warner Bros.’ superhero output. There is hope for the future of the DCEU with Wonder Woman set to break away from previous Batman and Superman stories. The upcoming release stars Gal Gadot as the eponymous character and could be the film to finally win over critics and make the DCEU a success. The verdict will come in June 2017.
