Perhaps she felt in need of a pre-shoot pick-me-up.
For Chloe Grace Moretz was carrying a large cup of coffee as she arrived on the set of a new Louis CK movie in New York on Thursday.
The grinning actress looked like she could hardly wait for the cameras to start rolling as she sauntered around the production caravans.
However she may have had to make a quick stop at the wardrobe department, for she was wearing a dressed down ensemble of black T-shirt, jeans and trainers.
The 20-year-old Kick-Ass star had been spotted earlier in the week getting the coffees in before shooting began.
And it seems to have won the latte liberal some brownie points, as she was later spotted enjoying a friendly chat with the famously right wing actor John Malkovich.
No doubt she will be hoping this forthcoming project, which is so far untitled, is more popular than her latest.
For last month she derided the advertising of the animated Red Shoes And the Seven Dwarfs, after early advertisements for the film were accused of fat-shaming.
Promotional materials unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival showed two women, with one noticeably taller and skinnier than her counterpart. It read, ‘What if Snow White was no longer beautiful and the 7 Dwarfs not so short?’
Chloe, who provided a voice-over on the film, took to Twitter to denounce the ad, saying, ‘I have now fully reviewed the [marketing] for Red Shoes, I am just as appalled and angry as everyone else, this wasn’t approved by me or my team.
‘The actual story is powerful for young women and resonated with me. I am sorry for the offense that was beyond my creative control.’
