It’s a milestone that many fathers know all too well.
On Monday, Kevin Hart shared a selfie on social media, sitting in the front passenger seat of a car driven by his 16-year-old daughter, Heaven.
“My little girl is growing up,” the actor wrote in the caption, conveying a mix of pride and nostalgia.
Heaven is Hart’s eldest child. He shares her and her 13-year-old brother, Hendrix, with his ex-wife, Torrei Hart, from whom he divorced in 2011. The “Ride Along” star, now 41, also has two younger children, three-year-old son Kenzo and 18-month-old daughter Kaori, with his second wife, Eniko, whom he married in 2016.
In December 2017, Hart admitted publicly to cheating on Eniko while she was pregnant with their son. The couple worked through the scаndаl, but in a recent interview, Hart acknowledged that it was challenging to discuss his infidelity with his two older children.
During a special Father’s Day episode of Red Table Talk with Will Smith, Hart said, “You don’t realize the impact that your mistakes can truly have… When the kids get involved, it’s a different feeling, a different emotion.”
He added that his most difficult conversation was with Heaven, saying, “Getting my daughter to understand that I was sorry, that I made a mistake, that was real. My daughter was tough on me — to this day, my daughter is tough on me. She doesn’t play games with her father.”
