A lot of people don’t realize this about Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry

During a recent episode of Podcast P, which is presented by Wave Sports and Entertainment, NBA and Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West joined LA Clippers star Paul George on the show. West covered several topics, including Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, who West was around when he worked as an executive with Golden State.

“Steph, he’s just a fantastic person,” West said. “What a great guy. Again, he’s different than everybody thinks he is. He’s a better all-around player than he gets credit for. He’s really good. When you watch him now, at one time, I didn’t think he was a good defender. [Now] I think he’s a terrific defender. I mean, I would damn sure like to play with him. He’ll pass the ball. But he’s got that unique skill that has changed the game a lot, and the more they emphasize it, the more these young kids you’re talking about, per their parents, pushing them that direction. And don’t kid yourself, parents do this.”

Now an executive with the Clippers, West has a lot of respect and admiration for Steph Curry. While a lot of people don’t realize how great Curry’s all-around game is, West wants people to realize that he is a great defender and passer. These areas of Curry’s game often go overlooked, but not by Jerry West.
