Feast your eyes on the STORM, an all-terrain armored amphibious tank.

This tank has been designed to conquer the most difficult terrain in the world and can switch from land to sea in an instant.

The STORM is completely bulletproof and packed with incredible features.

Created by Highland Systems, the STORM was first unveiled at the IREX defense expo in Abu Dhabi.

The tank weighs around 10,000 kg and has an impressive 2,500 horsepower.

Not only can it reach speeds of 140 km/h (87 mph) on land, but it dominates on the water as well.

Powered by a propeller at the rear, the STORM can travel at 30 km/h (18.6 mph) over water.

It might not sound fast, but considering its size and weight, it’s pretty impressive.

Because STORM is shaped like a boat at the front, the armored vehicle can also deal with waves of up to 1.5 meters.

The STORM is fully protected against ballistics, IED and mine blasts.

The interior cabin is even designed to absorb any impact from explosives, so the driver and passengers hardly feel a thing.

The tank can also be controlled with a remote control system so that it can operate completely autonomously in hazardous environments.

The armored tank is the first of its kind with a hybrid-electric propulsion system.

This gives you 18-36 hours of range on land and eight hours of range on the water.

Highland Systems hasn’t revealed how much its armored tank costs, but we expect it to cost at least a couple hundred thousand dollars.
