Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has branded her fiancé Jason Statham her ‘greatest protector’ while sharing details of their family life as they prepare to welcome baby number two.
The former Victoria’s Secret angel, 34, and actor, 54, have been engaged since 2016 and have been together since 2010 and have a four-year-old son called Jack Oscar.
Speaking with The Sun on her relationship with the Fast And Furious star she said that he offers her protection and has become her great mentor.
She said: ‘We’re definitely both ambitious and excited for life. Jay is my greatest protector and I hope he would say the same for me with him.
‘He has been a great mentor for me with work. He’s renowned for being tough and as someone who’s a little bit softer by nature, he’s given me a lot of support to make those tough decisions.’
Rosie and Jason have been residing across the Atlantic in a £14 million mansion in Malibu but recently decided to move back to the UK as they were keen for their son to grow up in his parents’ country.
She said that she also ‘missed the British sense of humour’ while being in the US.
Rosie said: ‘Jay and I are at a place where we are asking ourselves what we want to create for our family outside of the day-to-day running of a household and work.’
The businesswoman went onto reveal that nature and family are ideals she would like to achieve for her family, and she is hoping to get them now they live in the UK again.
The pair also decided on their move so they could be closer to their families after the pandemic, and Rosie has said that she is looking forward to spending time with her family this Christmas.
She said that she is hoping for a cosy one this year as she will be nesting.
The pair are currently in the midst of renovating their £5million London home, and Rosie said that Jason’s taste is ‘second to none’ and that she has unexpectedly learnt so much from him about architecture and interiors.
Rosie then went onto discuss making the change from model to business leader with her sustainable beauty brand RoseInc.
She also recently extended her deal with Marks & Spencer and has named Elle Macpherson as one of her idols in business.
Rosie puts her the start of her determination to succeed to when she was 19 and would ring up her agent to ask if she had any work coming in.
She told of how she felt fed up because her career was not in her own hands.
Rosie has spoke to Net A Porter previously about the way Victoria’s Secret and the fashion industry as a whole has changed since she first started out.
She said to the fashion retailer: ‘I think for a long time, there was a lot of heel-dragging. Fashion people had a specific point of view and a specific look. But it is exciting to see that shift and to think where we’ll be in another five years’ time or ten years’ time, by listening to the consumer.’
