Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson reunite for Project Artemis

Just three years after ‘assembling’ for the final time in Avengers: Endgame, two of the Avengers – Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson – are reuniting on the big screen.

Evans, 40, and Johansson, 37, are reuniting for the $100 million Apple TV Plus movie Project Artemis, according to a new report from Deadline.

Jason Bateman will direct, marking his third feature film as a director following 2013’s Bad Words and 2015’s The Family Fang.

Scarlett: Scarlett Johansson will join Evans in the project, marking their first project together since 2019's Avengers: Endgame

Bateman will direct from a screenplay by Rose Gilroy, who will be making her feature film writing debut, after writing episodes of The Edge of Sleep.

The first-time feature screenwriter is the daughter of screenwriter Dan Gilroy (Nightcrawler) and actress Rene Russo (Outbreak), who have been married since 1992.

More Apple: Johansson is also teaming up with Apple TV Plus on another project called Bride, which she's attached to star in and produce and is currently in development

These Pictures commissioned the script from Gilroy and developed it, while Bateman will also produce through his Aggregate Films company.

No production schedule was given for the project yet, though it was said that both Evans and Johansson had been actively looking for projects to reunite on, ever since Avengers: Endgame hit theaters in 2019.

They were actually close to reuniting on another Apple TV Plus project entitled Ghosted, though Johansson ultimately bowed out after scheduling conflicts, with Ana de Armas replacing her on the film, currently in production.

Coming soon: She also stars in Wes Anderson's upcoming film Asteroid City with Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, Adrien Brody, Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and many more, which is currently in post-production and expected later this year
