Top clubs have fiercely competed for a young Chelsea talent, and Fabrizio Romano has just provided the latest update.
McAidoo, who just turned 16, played at the U18 Premier League level for Chelsea last season, making a total of four appearances. A few weeks ago, Fabrizio Romano stated that Arsenal had made the best offer for the young player.
However, it appears that Man City will emerge victorious. Romano wrote: “Exclusive: Ryan McAidoo is leaving Chelsea and is set to join Manchester City. The talented forward born in 2008 has decided to join Man City after receiving offers from other top Premier League clubs. A great talent for the MCFC Academy.”
McAidoo also made two appearances for England’s U17 team in March against Northern Ireland and Hungary in the U17 European Championship qualifiers. However, he was not called up for the tournament squad.
