Zendaya made a $100,000 donation to the Oakland, California-based California Shakespeare Theater, which is where her performing career began.

The 27-year-old Euphoria actress, who has been actively promoting the new movie Dune: Part Two, kindly donated to the theater organization through a partnership with the Women Donors Network (WDN), according to People.

She contributed the money to the theater’s North Star Fund, which supports both upcoming performances and other upgrades, according to a statement posted on the venue’s official website.

“We express our sincere gratitude to Zendaya and the WDN for their collaboration, as well as their kind donation of $100,000 to the North Star Fund,” stated Clive Worsley, the theater’s executive director, also referred to as Cal Shakes.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer this general support grant in partnership with Zendaya,” said Leena Barakat, President & CEO of the Women Donors Network.

“Wherever funding is most needed, we hope that our funding helps support your work and further your strategic vision.”

Back in 2014, the star opened up to Rolling Out as she reflected on first discovering her ‘passion’ for theater and acting. ‘My mom worked at the California Shakespeare Theater when I was very young’; seen in 2013 in L.A.

The celebrity spoke out to Rolling Out back in 2014, sharing her thoughts on how she initially came to realize her “passion” for performing and theater.

“When I was very young, my mom worked at the California Shakespeare Theater,” Zendaya said to the publication at the time.

“I was raised in the theater.” I was that strange eight-year-old who loved Shakespeare and spent hours watching rehearsals.

“I was very intrigued by acting and everything that that world had to offer,” the beauty went on. That’s when I suppose I first discovered how passionate I was about theater.

Zendaya has been juggling her hectic schedule in order to promote Dune: Part Two, her most recent movie, which opens in theaters on March 1 of next month.

Together with Timothee Chalamet, Austin Butler, Stellan Skarsgard, and director Denis Villeneuve, the star attended the film’s premiere on Thursday in Seoul, South Korea.

Tom notably dispelled rumors in January of last year that he and the former Disney Channel starlet were no longer together.

After Zendaya unfollowed every Instagram account and the couple was last seen together in October 2023, split rumors started to spread.

The entertainment publication was also informed by a source that the two celebrities celebrated New Year’s Eve together by ringing in 2024.
