Los Angeles, CA – Famous actor Danny Trejo was recently captured on camera signing paperwork and handing over a check for $69,500 to the team at Southern Country Customs (SCC) for their fully customized Harley-Davidson Street Glide. Trejo took ownership of the unique motorcycle directly from the SCC showroom, adding this head-turning hog to his already impressive collection of bikes.
Trejo is well known for his extensive tattoo work, tough guy roles in films like Machete, Con Air, Heat, and more – as well as his prolific career with over 300 credits in television and movies. What many fans may not know is Trejo is also an avid motorcycle enthusiast and collector. His collection is said to include Harley-Davidson, Indian, and custom choppers from some of the biggest names in the business.
The SCC Street Glide caught Trejo’s eye with its complete custom overhaul and unique, standout looks. The bike began life as a Harley-Davidson Street Glide but the team at SCC reimagined the entire motorcycle with $70,000 in custom fabrication and upgrades. The most striking change is the elaborate new body styling and paint job, coated in Trejo’s signature candy apple red. It has been completely redesigned from the fenders to the gas tank, fitted with an SCC chin spoiler, extended side panels and engine guard. It features a lowered rear end, custom 18 inch front wheel, and quick release tour pack on the back.
Underneath the wild new bodywork, SCC added some additional engine upgrades to give the bike a performance boost to match its looks. It received a big bore 124ci kit to punch out the engine size along with a new cam, intake and fully custom exhaust system fabricated in-house. While SCC hasn’t released specific output numbers, its safe to say this is one fast Street Glide. The shop also treated the bike to an audio system upgrade with Rockford Fosgate speakers, Soundstream head unit and 1,000 watt amplifier so Trejo can rock out to his favorite tunes on the road.
For such a prolific actor, Trejo has already amassed an astonishing 300+ movie and television credits over his long career. But even when he isn’t on set filming, Trejo has a well known passion for all things automotive. He seems to enjoy collecting special vehicles and bikes, and occasionally even collaborates with custom car builders and garages. Back in 2020 it was reported he worked with Galpin Auto Sports to have a custom Ford Bronco built at their facilities, which he also uses as his daily driver.
Trejo says collecting bikes and cars is one of his favorite hobbies, and he tries to add something unique to his garage whenever possible. He must have had his eye on this radical SCC Street Glide for a while before finally purchasing it directly from their Alabama showroom. According to their website, SCC prides themselves on outrageous customs, and states “We don’t do subtle”. It seems they certainly achieved their goal based on the insane $70k transformation they performed on the bike for Trejo.
Southern Country Customs was apparently only too happy to deliver this special order for one of Hollywood’s biggest motorcycle aficionados. While SCC has only been around for a few years, they are quickly making a name for themselves building what many consider over-the-top, head turning customs. As their motto says: “If it ain’t loud, it just ain’t right!”. They clearly pulled out all the stops for this build, which may be one of their wildest looking and most expensive projects to date.
Now that the one-of-a-kind Street Glide is part of Trejo’s collection, there’s no telling what custom motorcycle projects he will take on next. Trejo is as well known for his off-screen love of bikes as his on-screen personality. His collection already contains choppers from legendary builders like Jesse James and OCC. We can’t wait to see what other incredible, outrageous bikes he adds next. For now, he can enjoy cruisin’ in style on his flashy new $70k SCC Harley.
