1970 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible

This 1970 Pontiac Bonneville convertible is powered by a 455ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in green over tan vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a power-operated tan convertible top, air conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes, 15″ Rally II-style wheels, a tilt steering column, power windows, and a push-button AM radio. The car is said to have been refurbished prior to being acquired by the current owner in 2008. This Bonneville convertible is now offered on dealer consignment in Delaware with a reproduction window sticker, PHS documents, and a clean Virginia title.

The body is finished in green and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Features include a power-operated tan convertible top, a chrome grille and bumpers, quad headlamps, side moldings, and rear fender skirts. The convertible top has a tear and stains.

The 15″ Rally II-style wheels wear PMD center caps and are mounted with Hankook Optimo H724 white-stripe tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features two rows of bench seating trimmed in tan vinyl upholstery while faux woodgrain trim adorns the dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, retractable front lap belts, Pontiac-branded rubber floor mats, and a push-button AM radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel has an aftermarket wrap and frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 5k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 455ci V8 was factory rated at 360 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque and features a four-barrel carburetor and a blue-finished engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.

The reproduction window sticker shows factory equipment, colors, and delivery to Murphy-Graef Pontiac of Troy, Ohio. Documentation from Pontiac Historic Services is also included in the sale and presented in the gallery below.
