Stephen Curry shares his thoughts on Chris Paul bench controversy

There have been plenty of battles and drama between Stephen Curry and Chris Paul throughout their basketball careers, but the pair now find themselves as teammates.

It seems that despite being teammates, the differences between the duo are not going to be put aside for the time being. Paul has made it clear that he wants to stay as a starter for the Golden State Warriors.

Curry plays peacemaker
Many feel that it makes a lot more sense to bring Paul off of the bench given the number of stars that the Warriors have, and Curry has weighed in on the public discussion.

“The biggest thing is, it’s anybody outside our locker room asking that question,” Curry told Ron Kroichick of the San Francisco Chronicle.

“It’s not the time for that and we don’t even know the answers. It’s going to be on all of us to figure it out.”

Curry was much more focused on the good that Paul can bring to the team, suggesting that he is trying to lessen the idea that there is a feud between them.

“The idea of me and Klay being able to run around screens and give teams a different look is exciting, because I’ve done it before,” Curry said. “Everyone is talking about the second-unit thing, but when I’m off the floor, you have another ballhandler (in Paul) who knows how to play the game and elevates the guys around him.”

Regardless of what Curry thinks, it is a big decision for the management of the team to take. Paul had a fairly weak season by his own standards but he still averaged 13.9 points, 8.9 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per outting.
